The man with two tunics should share with him who has none, and the one who has food should do the same. Luke 3:11

Caroyln and Ron Schmeling devoted countless hours selflessly volunteering to support NewThreads of Hope and Lutheran affiliated ministries.  After many years of working with NewThreads of Hope, Ron and Carolyn launched Two Tunics in 2007. Inspired by Luke 3:11, their work supported outreach ministries of Lutheran congregations and affiliated agencies by supplying new clothing, household items and books for the needy.

Carolyn tirelessly hand selected clothing, shoes, coats, hats, gloves, household items, books and many other items for donation to numerous causes.  She coordinated volunteers, outreach ministers, Pastors and many others to create meaningful donations to struggling families. Her dedication to Two Tunics touched countless lives.

Carolyn’s generosity over the years not only impacted the many people in need throughout our community, across the state, and around the world, but she also had a profound impact on those of us who were lucky enough to work alongside her at NewThreads. She embodied our mission and blessed all of those who were touched by her dedication, compassion, and faith.   We are grateful to have known Carolyn and are honored to continue her mission, inspired by her selfless commitment to uplift all in need.
