Each year, businesses from around the country contribute truckloads of brand-new apparel, footwear, bed and bath items, and other softgoods to NewThreads of Hope. These companies entrust NewThreads to sort, process and then distribute these products--for no charge--to our neighbors in need at home and around the world.
Imagine a mom finally getting up the nerve to take her children and flee from an abusive domestic situation, trying to restart their lives over in safety. They run from their home with only the clothes on their backs, leaving everything else behind. Now the children face the prospect of having to wear the same outfit to school every day. Think of the impact a gift of brand-new school clothes will have on those kids’ dignity and self-esteem!

A financial contribution to NewThreads of Hope magnifies the impact of your gift by nearly twenty-fold. Your donation of $25.00 will enable NewThreads to provide and entire back to school wardrobe for one of those kids. A $100.00 contribution could give the entire family a head start on getting their lives back on track!
What Your Financial Support Will Be Used For
Companies donate their overstocks, returned merchandise and samples to NewThreads of Hope. This merchandise is delivered to the NewThreads Distribution Center in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin where teams of volunteers sort, process select and then prepared this merchandise for the needy in our community.
NewThreads’ staff of three employees coordinates all volunteer activities, solicits the merchandise from companies around the nation, screens and monitors recipient partner agencies, manage all warehouse and distribution activities and performs all development activities.
It costs less than one dollar to solicit, receive, warehouse, process and then redistribute this merchandise. This includes all rent, utilities, insurance, volunteer and personnel expenses. A gift of $100 will therefore provide over $2,000 worth of brand new clothes, bed and bath items and other softgoods to those in need.
